"Escape" is an acrylic painting depicting the fire escape stairs of my apartment complex that can be seen right through my window, done in a comic book style and explored the use of colour as a means to create contrast. "Escape" expresses my desire to escape from our hectic lives at times. The fire escape can be seen right outside my window, but is a place that seems distant and I have never been, and is a metaphor to how an escape from our fast-paced lives seems to be so close yet so far.
